Our mission is to empower people to share their “journey” and connect people worldwide by starting conversations about mental health.

Journey Apparel is more than a clothing label. It is about creating change, raising awareness about mental health and starting important conversations with the people around you.

If you wear a Journey Apparel item, you are vowing to provide a safe and comfortable environment to drive this conversation. You are delivering a message from a logo that says to those around you that they won’t be judged, they don't need to feel shame, and that you are there to listen and support them.

If you wear a piece of our apparel you will not only look great, but you will make a promise to us and to yourself to support the people around you.

Why not mix a fresh, funky logo with an important and meaningful message? Mental health and sharing conversation is bigger than one person or one company. It is a team effort, and it starts with you.

OUR FOUNDER - 

Journey Apparel is a Melbourne based clothing label founded in 2020 by mental health advocate, Michael Donehue. Journey Apparel is derived from pain, struggle and triumph.

After struggling with poor mental health triggered by body image issues, sporting injuries and the tragic loss of family members in the Black Saturday bushfires, Michael turned to alcohol as his main coping mechanism.

After sacrificing his voice and his mental and physical health, he eventually realised that alcohol wasn't the answer and speaking about his problems helped him and his loved ones. 

Michael wants others to find the strength, courage and comfort to start these difficult yet vital conversations with those they trust. He wants to help build the feeling of connection with other people, and to encourage others to do the same if they aren't feeling themselves.

Everyone has a story and Michael wants others to join him by sharing experiences to help others in the pursuit of positive mental health and happiness.
